On the 16th January 2019 with opened Pineapple Black with our ‘Grand Opening’ exhibition. The exhibition consisted of 13 artists, including ourselves, who had been chosen by ourselves because of our collective love for their work and their local connection.
With over 300 people coming to the opening the space was quickly filled, many of which came back at a later date so that they could see the artwork without all the people. (so many people its hard to see the art was not a issue we had anticipated!). Our guests did us proud, destroying the free bar and helping us to celebrate an evening that didn’t feel real the next day.
The artwork looked amazing and if it wasn’t with their help, support and trust the show wouldn’t have been the success it was. So a big thank you to all of our exhibiting artists: Alyson Agar, Aaron Batey, Gordon Dalton, Mary Deane, Jonny Green, Mollie Macsween, Lewis Robinson, Anita Sewell, Gemma Tierney, Thomas Tyler and Charlie Wood.
